i agree thats not much but for the amount of riding you get to do and the fact that its an all day thing. and who knows what the weather is going to be like. plus i already accepted to ref a D1 college soccer game that day that will easily pay double what i would spend at the track day.

Got a couple questions about this. Looks like I'd be in group 5 seeing as how I don't have a leather suit, I have the same jacket that someone previously posted here and some gloves and a helmet, would blue jeans and work boots be ok to wear? Do I need my drain plug safety wired and coolant replaced with water? Also, I'm assuming tires have to be in decent shape?

Yes, leather or textile jacket, boots over the ankle and gloves are required. In group 5 jeans are allowed. If you're going to go through the trouble of flushing your coolant then re-fill it with Engine Ice, it's good for the track and the road. Yes saftey wire your drain plug and oil filter, remove or tape up your mirrors, tape your headlight, turn signals and brake light. Get there early and if you need help find me and we'll get ya set up. Tires should be in decent shape with no bluing, if they still look like the pic you posted you should be fine.

just do it and get it over with. no reason not to.

The metal is pretty soft. Mine drilled through without even trying. Although, I did buy a new one just in case. LOL!

It was 26 degrees this morning when we got to the track @ 7:00am. Turned out to be a great day.

We were able to do three sessions, and our instructor Greg did an awesome job. Session #2 & #3 was pretty much run your own race.

A lot of friends stopped by to watch and hang out in the pits.

The track today was dead. Only a handful of riders. Some riders did back to back 30 minute sessions.

I gave up at 400pm. I was out of gas and had arm pump BAD!

I had the GoPro aimed wrong so I got a lot of video of the track surface. :( Bunch of crap...



I did get this shot of me almost taking Scarb out. Totally my fault, he had 6 bikes lengths on me into turn one but he goes really slow in turn one so I almost got a great take out maneuver on him. :) LOL!!!
